Pennyrile Electric Says Thanks, Welcomes New Board Members

Pennyrile Electric is thanking two longtime members of the board of directors for their years of service to the cooperative.
Vice-president of Member Services Brent Gilkey says Central District Director Dr. George Brown of Elkton and Eastern District Director Jim Riley of Russellville will both retire from the board of directors at the end of the month. Dr. Brown, who is a retired Veterinarian from Elkton, has served on the board since 1987.

Meanwhile, Riley, who is the retired owner/operator of Jesse L. Riley & Sons Insurance in Russellville, has served on the board since 1977.

Board Chairman Jimmy Futrell says both men will be missed for their strong leadership ability. He adds the board would like to thank both for their many years of service.
Gilkey also announced George L. Fox will represent the Central District and Bob E. Allen will represent the Eastern District. Fox is a self-employed grain farmer from Elkton and is married to Catherine. Allen is a grain farmer from Russellville and is married to Melissa Allen.
