Caldwell County Superintendent encouraging students to succeed in letter welcoming them back from the holiday break

A local school district superintendent is encouraging parents and students to take advantage of all the opportunities available to help them succeed in and out of the classroom.
In a letter sent out to all students welcoming them back from the holiday break, Caldwell County Superintendent Nate Huggins expressed that the spring semester would be full of numerous learning opportunities for students as well as parents.
Superintendent Huggins says that while the core curriculum is provided for all students, educators throughout the district believe it is critical to provide leadership opportunities, character education, and exposure to technology in order to prepare students to compete with their global counterparts.
College and career experiences that support the school district’s mission and vision will continue to be offered including college tours and career day activities. Superintendent Huggins says that students are now starting classes in the newly renovated Regional Career Center in many career areas including automotive, electrical, plumbing, Information Technology, nursing, welding, and culinary.
Superintendent Huggins also encourages parents to be involved in their children’s educational successes by attending school events and even volunteering at at the schools. For more information about how to get involved you can call the Caldwell County Central Office at 270-365-8000. You can also find the full letter from Superintendent Huggins below.
