Kentucky State Police Post 2 releases vehicle fatality report for 2018

Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville have released a vehicle fatality report for 2018.
KSP Post 2 Public Affairs Officer Rob Austin said in a report released Wednesday that 48 people lost their lives on Post 2 roadways through December 31st, 2018. This is compared to thirty-six in 2017.
Officer Austin says that seventeen victims were not wearing their seatbelts, while twenty-one were.
Of the seven fatal motorcycle accidents reported, four victims were not wearing helmets while three victims were.
Officer Austin says that no fatal accidents involved the suspected use of alcohol.
KSP Post 2 serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.
