More information has been released about a one-vehicle accident in Caldwell County on Friday night.
Caldwell County Sheriff Stan Hudson says that deputies responded to the report of a one-vehicle roll-over accident around 6:30 on Highway 128 near the intersection of Highway 91, south of Princeton.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver, 37-year-old Talena Smith of Princeton, was traveling along Highway 128 when she swerved to avoid hitting a deer, overcorrected and lost control, running off the roadway. The vehicle then flipped and came to a rest on it’s top in a grassy area off of the roadway.
Smith was out of the vehicle by the time deputies arrived but was transported to Caldwell Medical Center by Caldwell County EMS for minor injuries.
