Dawson Springs Man Arrested After Traffic Stop Monday Night

A Dawson Springs man was arrested in Princeton on various charges after a traffic stop Monday night.
According to a Princeton Police report officers stopped a vehicle for disregarding a stop sign on Washington Street just after seven. When officers approached the vehicle they smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from the vehicle.
The driver, 21-year-old Brien D Dunbar, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. He was charged with disregarding a stop sign, no insurance and DUI first offense and was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
Once at the jail Dunbar damaged a cell phone belonging to the jail and was subsequently charged with criminal mischief third degree.
