Wanted Kuttawa woman arrested in Princeton after fleeing from police

A wanted Kuttawa woman was arrested in Princeton over the weekend for fleeing and evading police.
According to a Princeton Police report officers responded to North Darby Street Saturday night just before 8:30 after a tip was received about a wanted person in the area. Officers located and stopped a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Leighann Boyd and a check with dispatch confirmed that she was wanted on a warrant.
When officers told Boyd about the warrant she fled the scene on foot. She was apprehended after a short pursuit.
Boyd was charged with fleeing or evading police second degree, resisting arrest, wanton endangerment second degree, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license. She was also served with two Lyon County bench warrants charging her with failure to appear.
Boyd was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
