Princeton City Council Meetings May Be Held Later

City council meetings may be held at a different time following a proposal by the Mayor.
The Princeton City Council will vote on an ordinance changing the time of regular meetings from 5 to 5:30PM at the next regular meeting on Tuesday night.
Mayor Kota Young says that he believes this change would make meetings more accessible for the community. He notes that several people who have expressed interest in attending meetings have not been able to because they work out of town.
The ordinance will also allow council members to be notified by e-mail at least 24 hours before a special called meeting.
If the ordinance passes, regular meetings would be held on the first and third Monday of the month at 5:30PM at the Tourism Center in downtown Princeton. If a regular meeting falls on a holiday the meeting will move to the next business day.
Tuesday night’s meeting will begin at 5PM at the Tourism Center and is open to the public.
