Local School Board Members Recognized at Board Meeting

Local school board members were recognized at the first board meeting of the year Tuesday night.
Caldwell County Superintendent Nate Huggins presented certificates of appreciation to each of the five Caldwell County School Board members in honor of January’s School Board Appreciation Month.
Certificates were presented to members Tim Kennedy, Kim Jackson, Bill Clift and newly elected members Stacy Brantley and Kim Cook.
Kennedy praised his fellow board members expressing that it was a pleasure to serve with them and that he was thankful for all the time and effort they have devoted to Caldwell County’s students.
Brantley stated that she was optimistic of her future on the board and was thankful for what she had already learned from her fellow board members. Cook echoed those sentiments saying she was proud to serve Caldwell County.
Tuesday night’s meeting was the first for Brantley and Cook, who were elected to the positions in the November General Election.
