Several Local Officials and Citizens Appointed to Various Boards

Several local officials and citizens were appointed to various boards during a Caldwell County Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday morning.
Judge Executive Larry Curling appointed Magistrate District Four Jeff Simms to represent the court in the Caldwell County Igniting Voices Organization. The organization consists of a group of community members and local officials who are working together to help move Caldwell County into the future and ignite positive changes. Magistrate Simms will represent the court for as long as he is Magistrate.
Judge Curling then appointed Princeton Mayor Kota Young to the Princeton/Caldwell County Industrial Development Authority Board. Mayor Young will serve on the board alongside Judge Curling and various other community members and officials. The board works hand-in-hand with the Lake Barkley Partnership to help bring economic development and opportunities to the area.
Lastly Judge Curling appointed Heath Cummins to the Caldwell County Extension District Board. The board, which consists of several community members, serves as a local ruling body for the Caldwell County Extension Office.
Each appointment was approved by the court after a motion and a second.
