Ordinance Passed in Effort to Increase Animal Control in Princeton

The effort to increase animal control in Princeton will hopefully made headway after an ordinance was passed that would allow county officers to enforce regulations within city limits.
Princeton Mayor Kota Young originally proposed the ordinance at a city council meeting on January 7th saying his hope was that by joining with county officials, animal control within the city limits will finally see some progression.
The ordinance states that Caldwell County’s Animal Control Officer will be authorized and empowered to enforce the provisions within Princeton’s Code of Ordinances within city limits. The ordinance also states that Princeton Police officers shall also have the authority to enforce the provisions concerning animal control.
After a motion and a second the Council approved the ordinance at a meeting on Tuesday.
