Deadline For Candidate Filing For KY’s 2019 Elections Tuesday

Kentucky’s Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is reminding potential party candidates for the state’s 2019 Constitutional Office races that Tuesday is the final day to file paperwork with the appropriate filing official.
After eight years of service as the state’s Secretary of State, administering twenty plus elections, Tuesday’s deadline will be the last deadline for a regular election under Grimes’ tenure.
According to release, it also marks the end of a lifetime of service for Director of Elections, Mary Sue Helm, who has served in the Secretary of State’s office for 32 years. In her 41-years of public service, Helm has been a part of over 80 elections.
The 2019 ballot consists of the following offices:
Governor/Lieutenant Governor
Secretary of State
Attorney General
Auditor of Public Accounts
State Treasurer
Commissioner of Agriculture
Unexpired Judicial Seats
The deadline to file Tuesday is 4:00 p.m., local time.
