A local organization is hosting a free throw contest for local kids on Saturday.
Jim Hillerich, member of the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus, says that they will sponsor a free throw contest on Saturday at Dawson Springs High School, located at 317 Eli Street in Dawson Springs. The contest will be held from 9 until 11AM, or however long it takes all participating children to complete the contest.
Hillerich adds that the contest is open to all children ages nine to fourteen in the surrounding area, they do not have to attend Dawson Springs schools. The competition will be split into six age groups for boys and girls.
Hillerich notes that winners of each age group will move on to the district free throw contest and even have the opportunity to move on to state, should they win in districts.
Pre-registration is a not required, children may show up Saturday morning and register there in the gym.
