A local contracting company was recently awarded a national award for community involvement.
According to a release, Rogers Group Inc., which is headquartered in Hopkinsville, was named the winner of the 2018 Community Involvement Award from the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) at a ceremony on January 23rd in Marco Island, Florida.
The ceremony honored companies from around the nation who were Operational Excellence Award recipients at NAPA’s Annual Meeting.
The Community Involvement Award recognizes outstanding programs in the arena of community
relations. This award is earned by companies with a well-rounded community relations program.
NAPA Chairman Craig Parker says that the two categories of the Operational Excellence Awards, Asphalt Operations Safety Innovation and Community Involvement, recognize a company’s commitment to operations that make them good contractors, good industry ambassadors, and good neighbors.
Amanda Dossett, Sales Rep for Rogers Group, accepted the award on behalf of the West Kentucky Division.
Rogers Group also received the Quality in Construction Airport Pavement Award at the Annual Meeting.
