The News Edge has learned that Ann Plotkin has died, one day after a parole board denied her request for an early medical release due to a terminal illness.
Plotkin, of Hopkinsville, pled guilty to three counts of complicity to murder in connection to the deaths of 62-year old Lindsey Champion, his wife 60-year old Joy Champion, and their daughter, 31-year old Emily Champion on October 26, 2014.
Family members traveled to Frankfort Monday to meet with the parole board to oppose Plotkin’s release. Plotkin appeared before the parole board Thursday at which time they denied her early release.
During the trial, Kentucky State Police said Plotkin assisted Ryan Champion in planning the murders of his parents and sister and assisted in communication between Champion and the fourth person who was killed, 22-year old Vito Riservato, who were found shot to death inside their home.
Plotkin was incarcerated at the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange and had served four years of her 22-year sentence.
