Flash Flood Watch In Effect Tuesday Night Through Wednesday Night

The National Weather Service in Paducah is reminding citizens that the entire area is under a flash flood watch beginning at six Tuesday evening.
Meteorologists say that heavy rain is expected across most of west Kentucky Tuesday night into Wednesday night and could lead to potential flooding. Current wet soil conditions could aid in the development of areal flooding and isolated flash flooding. Rainfall will also likely add to river flooding concerns as well.
Rainfall of just under two inches to nearly three inches is forecast for the area that includes Caldwell, Christian, Hopkins, Lyon, Calloway, Trigg, Marshall, Muhlenberg, and Todd Counties.
Meteorologists are also reminding motorists to watch for flooded roadways and to remember, “turn around, don’t drown.”
The flash flood watch is in effect from six Tuesday evening until six Wednesday evening.
