Frank P. Giannini Senior Citizen Center Still Offering Events for Seniors

A local senior citizen center has a new aging coordinator and wants to remind the community that they are still providing plenty of opportunities for seniors within the area.
Kelly Coleman, new Aging Coordinator at the Frank P. Giannini Senior Citizen Center, says that there are several things that happen at the center throughout the week, including bible study on Tuesdays and bingo on Thursdays. She adds that there will also be an upcoming AARP Driving Class held at the center.

Coleman wants to remind citizens that there have been a few changes to the daily meals now that they are prepared in Lyon County. She notes that those who wish to come to the daily lunches, which are still at 11:30AM, must now sign up at least a week in advance.

She also says that the center still provides home delivered meals and those who may be interested in utilizing the service need to contact the Pennyrile Area Development District at 270-886-9484 to make sure they qualify.
Coleman adds that the center is in need of volunteers to help come and clean during the early morning and afternoons. Those interested can contact the center at 270-365-7446 during regular hours, Monday through Fridays from 8AM to 2PM.
