Executive Director of PADD Reminds Local Officials About Fort Campbell

The Executive Director of a local development district is reminding local elected officials of a community asset that is sometimes overlooked, Fort Campbell.
Jason Vinson, Executive Director of the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD), addressed elected officials from Princeton, Fredonia, and Caldwell County at a joint meeting Monday night in Princeton. Vinson says that sometimes Fort Campbell is overlooked as a source of workforce development by officials in the Pennyrile Region and he wants to bring the base on the Kentucky/Tennessee border to the forefront of the region’s mind.

He added that one of PADD’s goals is to connect with those soldiers who are leaving the base and provide employment to keep them in this area.

He noted that several surrounding communities are hosting Military Days to help connect those soldiers with employment opportunities.

Vinson reminded all the gathered elected officials that the PADD Office is at the disposal of all the counties and cities within the Pennyrile and to not hesitate to seek out their help or use them as a resource.
