Help Needed To Change Fishing Regulations In War On Carp

A leader in the war on Asian Carp is asking for the public’s help to change Kentucky Fish and Wildlife’s regulations for commercial fishermen in order to maximize the removal of the invasive species from area lakes.
Lyon County Judge-Executive Wade White explains to the News Edge they need to extend the number of days commercial fishermen can remove Asian Carp from Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.

White adds he has proposed the change to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife who will be meeting Friday. He is asking the public to send an email supporting or opposing a regulation change.
White says the emails must be received by the end of the day Thursday. Again, the email address is waroncarp@gmail.com and you need to state whether you support or oppose extending the regulation to allow Asian Carp fishermen to fish seven days a week all year on Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
