A home on Beech Springs Road was destroyed in a fire Wednesday afternoon.
East Golden Pond Fire Department Chief Ronnie Gray said flames were coming through the roof when firefighters arrived.
The homeowner, Mark Gamble said he was chopping wood at the time of the fire and believes the fire may have started with an outlet, He added one of their cats is unaccounted for.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the family.
East Golden Pond Fire Department was assisted by Montgomery Fire Department.
