Governor Matt Bevin says he was glad to sign the school safety bill into law Wednesday during a ceremony at the State Capitol in Frankfort.
Governor Bevin told the News Edge during a Wednesday conversation the school safety bill makes a number of changes that will help maintain safety in our schools across the state.

Governor Bevin says he is hopeful Kentucky lawmakers will pass legislation during the final day, March 28, to help ease the pension crisis for quasi-governmental agencies such as health departments, spouse abuse shelters, community colleges and other agencies that provide vital services to the public.

Governor Bevin also signed a bill Wednesday that will provide $50 million for Kentucky State Park renovations. He notes the investment is already paying off.

The Governor also discussed continued growth in the state, new jobs being created and other issues.
