Local and National Officials to Speak at 2019 Pork and Politics

Local elected officials will be joined by First District Congressman James Comer to update the community on legislation affecting the area.
According to a release the Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2019 Pork and Politics update on the community beginning at 11AM on Tuesday, April 16th at the Joint-BBQ, located at 30 Outlet Avenue in Eddyville.

The release adds that the event will feature Congressman James Comer and area political leaders representing the communities the chamber serves, which are Lyon, Livingston and Caldwell counties. To date, the panel includes Princeton Mayor Dakota Young and Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White.
The lunch and learn style event will highlight an update on legislation concerns for the area with a D.C. update from Congressman Comer. Attendees will also hear from local leaders on the progress in their respective communities.

Tickets for the event include a BBQ buffet, dessert, and beverage are $17.50 and on sale at the Farmers Bank & Trust branch in Eddyville, Payroll Vault/Lake Barkley Chamber Office in Eddyville, and First Southern National Bank in Princeton. The event is limited seating so advance ticket purchase is necessary.
