Parents of Autistic Children Working Together Asking Community to “Light It Up Blue”

The local chapter of the Parents of Autistic Children Working Together is asking community members to Light It Up Blue this April for Autism Awareness.
PACT of Princeton Director of Fundraising, Heather P’pool, says that April is Autism Awareness Month, with April 2nd National Autism Awareness Day. She adds that one in every 37 boys and one in every 150 girls have some form of autism and notes that there are dozens of people in Princeton alone that are on the Autism Spectrum or have a friend or family member on the Spectrum.
She is excited to announce that the city of Princeton will be aiding the group in their goal to light Princeton up in blue. They will install blue lights in the poles on East Main Street and will shine blue spotlights on the Main Street side of the Caldwell County Courthouse during the first week of April.
P’pool also says that the group will be having a bake sell to raise money for their support group on April 3rd outside of Cash Express, located behind Taco Bell off Highway 62 West in Princeton.
She is also asking citizens and business owners within the community to be involved in lighting Princeton up in blue by displaying a blue light in their window. PACT of Princeton has bulbs available for a donation of $2 per bulb.
