Four Fred’s stores in the area are among 159 locations that will be closing. Media outlets report the Memphis-based company announced Thursday that the underperforming stores will close by the end of May.
Fred’s website lists Hopkinsville, Princeton, Murray, and one Clarksville location among the discount stores closing. The Cadiz location is not on the list.
Fred’s has a total of 557 stores which are located in thirteen states.
