Governor Matt Bevin has appointed a 20-year educator and former school superintendent as the Second District Magistrate of Lyon County. Quin Tyler Sutton, of Eddyville, will fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Danny Walker.
Officials say Sutton served as an athletic director, assistant principal, FFA advisor, and boys basketball coach, before retiring in 2017 as the Superintendent of McCracken County Schools. He and his wife, Amye, have three children and one grandchild.
Sutton will serve in the position until the results of the November 2019 general election.
