City Council Approves Two Code of Ordinances Changes

Two ordinances proposing changes in wording included in two of Princeton’s Code of Ordinances were approved following action taken by the City Council.
At a meeting Monday night Mayor Kota Young stated that the ordinance concerning flood control merely needed a sentence change to bring it into state compliance.

The proposed ordinance would add a new subsection that indicates certain proposed building sites would be reasonably safe from flooding. The addition would also cause current subsections in the Code of Ordinances to be renumbered.
When the ordinances were first proposed on April 1st Mayor Young noted that the ordinance concerning code enforcement would make things easier for Code Enforcement Office Dickie Thomas.

After a roll call vote for each ordinance the Council unanimously approved both the flood control amendment and the code enforcement amendment.
