The Department of Defense says a Kentucky soldier assigned to Fort Campbell died Saturday, April 20, in Iraq.
Defense officials say 22-year-old Specialist Ryan Dennis Orin Riley from Richmond, Kentucky, died from a non-combat related incident. Specialist Riley was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division.
Specialist Riley was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve when he died Saturday in the Ninewa Province of Iraq. The incident remains under investigation.
