Funeral services for Joyce Thomason Mattingly, age 92, of Kuttawa, will be held Monday morning at eleven at Kuttawa United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from four to seven at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville and on Monday morning from ten until service time at the church.
Joyce was an active member of Kuttawa United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women at the local and district levels. She taught Sunday School for more than 70 years at Glenn’s Chapel in Eddyville and Kuttawa United Methodist Churches. She retired in 1985 from TVA-LBL as a Visitor Relations Representative. She also worked at the Lyon County Extension Agent’s Office, Atomic Energy Commission, Moe Light, Pennwalt and Reed Crushed Stone.
She is survived by her aunt: Flossie Thomason of Valparaiso, IN; three nieces: Sherry Anderson and husband, Jerry, of Paducah; Nancy Thomason of Dallas, TX; and Dianna St. Cin Miner and husband, Gary, of Newberry, FL; one nephew: Ralph Don Thompson and wife, Dixie, of Hobart, IN; as well as two great nieces.
