Caldwell County Courthouse Clocks Fixed; Showing Current Time

If you’re wandering around downtown Princeton you may notice something a little bit different…the time on the large Caldwell County Courthouse clocks is now correct.
Judge Executive Larry Curling says that thanks to the tireless efforts of Dennis Cox and lineman from the Princeton Electric Plant Board the courthouse clocks are now working and showing the correct time.
He adds that Cox has been working for several months to search out replacement parts and fix both the north facing and south facing clocks.
The north facing clock was replaced in early March with the south facing clock re-installed on Wednesday morning, thanks to crews from PEPB. Cox will return each year to change the time both when we spring forward and fall back.
Judge Curling notes that if it wasn’t for Cox, the clocks would have continued to sit in disrepair and extends gratitude on behalf of the entire community.
Judge Curling also wishes to thank the Princeton Electric Plant Board and Caldwell County Magistrates Brent Stallins and Jeff Simms for their work on the project.
