Coordinator of Backpack Program Encouraging Community to Give to King’s Kitchen

The coordinator of a children’s feeding program that operates during the school year is encouraging community members to support a summer feeding program.
Joni Phelps, Coordinator for Feeding God’s Children Backpack Program, says that King’s Kitchen coincides with the Backpack Program by providing meals in the summer.

She adds that the program is a fantastic program that depends on community involvement.

Phelps is encouraging community members to give donations to King’s Kitchen during the food drive at WPKY.

Donations for King’s Kitchen, which is a feeding program that provides home cooked meals three days a week to children in need during the summer, will be collected between 8AM and 5PM on Thursday, May 2nd at WPKY, which is located at 1035 West Main Street in Princeton.
A list of needed items can be found here. Monetary donations will also be accepted tomorrow here at the station.
WPKY is excited to help raise much needed food and money for this amazing program that helps feed children here in our community, so won’t you help us help King’s Kitchen?
