More information has been released concerning a semi roll-over in southern Caldwell County Monday afternoon.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office says that 28-year-old Arsen Usubaly, of Chicago, IL, was traveling along KY Highway 672 near Cobb just around 2:30, when, for unknown reasons the back wheels of his flat-bed trailer dropped off the right side of the roadway, pulling the trailer into the ditch. Usubaly then attempted to pull the trailer out of the ditch but lost control of the semi, causing it to slide into the ditch, coming to a rest on its top.
Usubaly was able to get out of the cab himself and was transported to Caldwell Medical Center, where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that the road was shut down in that area for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
Usubaly was hauling wooden bog mats for Global Transportation, LLC out of Denver, CO.
