Princeton Woman Injured In Accident In Front of Primary School

A Princeton woman has been injured following a two-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning.
According to a Princeton Police report officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Marion Road in front of the Caldwell County Primary School just after 7:30. The report states that investigation revealed 33-year-old Susan Jewell had attempted to make a left turn out of the primary school onto Marion Road and failed to yield to a northbound vehicle driven by 17-year-old Lillian Rust, causing Rust’s vehicle to strike Jewell’s vehicle in the driver side.
The report indicates that both vehicles came to a rest in the roadway, which blocked traffic for approximately thirty minutes, with southbound traffic being diverted onto Jeff Watson Road.
Jewell was transported to Caldwell Medical Center for minor injuries. Both Rust, and a passenger in the vehicle, 13-year-old Clara Ortt, refused treatment.
Princeton Police were assisted at the scene by the Princeton Fire Department.
