Flash Flood Watch Issued Through Friday Morning

All of western Kentucky is now under a Flash Flood Watch until 10:00 Friday morning.
…FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING…
The National Weather Service in Paducah has expanded the
* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of southwest Indiana and western Kentucky, including the Pennyrile region of west
Kentucky, along and east of the Lakes.
* Through Friday morning
* Heavy rainfall during the last couple of days has produced one to two inches of rain. Another 1 to locally 3 inches of rain is
possible in some areas through tonight.
* Heavy rainfall will result in flooding of low lying or poor drainage areas and on smaller creeks and streams. Significant rises on larger streams and rivers will also be possible. Expect flooding of roads that are typically affected by excessive rainfall.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
