Princeton Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision Thursday Night

A Princeton woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Kuttawa Thursday night.
According to a Lyon County Sheriff’s report deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of US 62 and Interstate 24 in Kuttawa around 9:25. The report states that 47-year-old William R. Walz of Poplar Bluff, Missouri was exiting off of I-24 and attempted to turn west onto US 62 but did not see 37-year-old Andrea N. McGowan, who was traveling through the intersection.
The report indicates that Walz failed to yield the right of way to McGowan, striking her vehicle at an angle. Both vehicles sustained significant damage but Walz and his passenger, 27-year-old Amy E. Seals, also of Poplar Bluff, refused medical treatment at the scene.
McGowan was transported by Lyon County EMS to Caldwell Medical Center for injuries sustained in the collision.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Lyon County EMS and Lyon County Rescue Squad.
