A Dawson Springs man is facing multiple charges after a police pursuit in Hopkins County Monday morning.
Kentucky State Police report Sergeant Nick Rice observed a car disregard a flagman holding a stop sign in a work zone on Kentucky 112, west of Earlington. When Rice initiated his emergency equipment to make a traffic stop, the driver later identified as 63-year old Jeffrey Poole didn’t pull over and continued for about four miles into the city limits of Earlington. Police say Poole then hit a curb, disabling the vehicle, and he was arrested.
Poole was booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center charged with first degree fleeing or evading police, disregarding a traffic control device – stop sign, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, speeding in a highway work zone and other offenses.
