Calvert City Man, Princeton Woman, Arrested on Various Charges Wednesday

A Calvert City man and Princeton woman have been arrested on various charges following a traffic stop Wednesday night.
According to a Princeton Police report officers stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Baldwin Avenue just after 6:30. The report states that upon approaching the vehicle officers detected a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and pills.
Officers arrested the driver, 38-year-old David W. Cartwright, and charged him with operating on a suspended or revoked operators license, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited, and disorderly conduct second degree.
The report also indicates that a passenger in the vehicle, 45-year-old Stacy McKinney, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance first degree, first offense, opiates, disorderly conduct second degree, and possession of marijuana.
Both Cartwright and McKinney were then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
