Clarksville Murder Suspect Arrested In Lyon County After Pursuit

A Clarksville homicide suspect and two other men were arrested in Lyon County after a multi-county pursuit Monday night.
Kentucky State Police Post 1 reports the pursuit began on Interstate 24 in Marshall County when a trooper tried to pull over a car for speeding shortly before 8:15 but the driver failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. The pursuit, according to emergency traffic, continued on I-24 through Marshall and Livingston counties at speeds exceeding 100 mph and ended in Lyon County at the 40-mile marker at the Eddyville-Kuttawa exit when the car collided with a pickup truck at on-ramp intersection. No injuries were reported due to the wreck, and the driver and two passengers jumped out of the car and ran. Emergency traffic indicated the men fled toward the Hampton Inn and two of the passengers were quickly apprehended by police. Emergency traffic indicated the driver was found in the woods over an hour later and taken into custody.
According to state police, 25-year old Kelly Marques of Clarksville was wanted for a homicide in Clarksville. He was charged with first degree fleeing or evading police in a vehicle and on foot, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first degree, wanton endangerment, possession of cocaine and marijuana, and other charges, including Fugitive from another state for the homicide warrant out of Tennessee. Marques was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
Dequantis Crouch

Police charged the passengers, 20-year old Dequantis Crouch and 26-year old Cemeage Gerrard, both of Clarksville, with first degree fleeing or evading police on foot, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Ogburn was charged with possession of cocaine and Garrard was charged with trafficking cocaine less than four grams, as well as receiving stolen property (firearm, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Ogburn and Garrard were lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
Cemeage Gerrard

Clarksville Police had been looking for Kelly since December 2018 in connection to a shooting that occurred in the area of Warfield Boulevard and Raleigh Court after officers found a vehicle riddled with bullets. Officers said the vehicle had flipped over with three people inside and the driver, 22-year old Antorious Gallion, had been hit by a bullet and transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville where he died from his injuries. Police said a female passenger in her 20s was transported to the hospital and was treated and released, and the other passenger in his 20s was shaken up but unharmed. The investigation revealed the victims had been involved in an earlier altercation with Kelly, 23-year old Cedrick Devaughn Stacker and 26-year old Vincent Bryan “Rabbit” Merriweather. Police stated Merriweather and Kelly got into a car and chased and fired multiple rounds at Gallion’s vehicle while he was traveling on Warfield Boulevard. Stacker and Merriweather were previously arrested while Kelly remained at large.
The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
