National Emergency Medical Services Week; Never Too Late to Thank EMS

It may be the end of National Emergency Medical Services Week, which was May 19th through 25th, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still thank those who work 24/7, 365 days a year to make sure you and your family get the medical care you need in case of emergency.
Chad Ford, Supervisor at Com-Care, who provides emergency medical services for Caldwell County, says that while they may not receive as much recognition as other first responders those in EMS are still willing to work hard for those in need.

He adds that Caldwell County currently employees between 25 and 30 full-time and part-time emergency medical personnel who run every day of every year.

Ford notes that even just recently Caldwell EMS were in the right place at the right time to lend aid following a tragic one vehicle accident in Lyon County that claimed one life and sent three others to area hospitals.

Ford, and all those in supervisory positions at Com-Care, wish to thank all Caldwell County EMS for the amazing job they do at a job that isn’t always the easiest.

While EMS week may end on Saturday it’s never too late to thank all those medical first responders who help keep our community safe and provide much needed emergency care regardless of what that may bring. From everyone at WPKY, thank you to all of Caldwell County EMS.
