Annual VFW Memorial Day Service in Princeton Well Attended

A good crowd was on hand during the annual VFW Memorial Day program on the steps of the Caldwell County Courthouse Monday afternoon.

Key speaker, Brother Harrell Riley, addressed the crowd, speaking of the stones and memorials full of names that were left behind to help remember the sacrifices that were given to provide our freedoms.

He also reminded those gathered that those names are important to the nation’s history.

Bro. Riley ended by challenging everyone to remember and to give accounts for those who gave their all.

Following the address the VFW Color Guard presented a gun salute and played Taps to the over 1.3 million fallen soldiers who gave their lives to defend the United States.
This Memorial Day, as you spend time with friends and family, as you enjoy your extended weekend, stop and take a moment to remember those who gave all to allow us the lives we now live.
