New Exhibit at the Princeton Art Guild for June and July

Local artist and photographer Jason Jones

A new exhibit is now available for viewing at the Princeton Art Guild for the months of June and July.
Director of the Guild, Melissa Peek, says that the new exhibit features photography by local artist, Jason Jones, in the Charles Alvin Lisanby Gallery at the Guild’s location at 115 East Main Street in downtown Princeton.
Jones states that his interest in art began as a child when he discovered a talent for drawing, a talent that grew as he did. He adds that as he got older he began to find photographs compelling but didn’t really get into the new art form until cell phone cameras became readily accessible and he had a hobby he could do anytime.
Jones notes that he eventually purchased a camera and started learning and exploring and soon started his own photography business. Since that time Jones has received several online awards and has had his images published in Unbridled Art magazine. In April 2019 he was awarded first place in the Pennyrile State Forest Resort Park Advanced Landscape Photography contest and also won third place in an exhibit with the Pennyroyal Arts Council National Endowment of the Arts. His images have been displayed in Princeton, Cadiz, Hopkinsville, Murray, and elsewhere.
An Artist Reception for Jones will be held at the Guild on Sunday, June 9th from 1 until 2:30PM. Light refreshments will be served and all in the community are being invited to attend. The exhibit will be open to viewing throughout June and July during the Guild’s regular hours, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11AM to 2PM.
