Teens in grades sixth through eighth are being encouraged to get in the kitchen this summer by participating in a baking bootcamp at the local extension office.
Ashley White, Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences at the Caldwell County Extension Office, says that the Summer Food Fun Cooking Bootcamp will be held June 17th and 18th at the Extension Office.
She adds that the classes won’t only teach basic cooking skills, they’ll also teach nutritional tips and will strengthen opportunities to learn during the summer.
White notes that pre-registration ends June 14th for the free class and students can register by calling the Extension Office at 270-365-2787.
