Motorists traveling US Highway 62/Dawson Road in Caldwell County need to be aware of a lane restriction scheduled for next week.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd says that a contractor plans a work zone lane restriction at milepoint 8.3, near the intersection of Vivian Drive in Princeton, beginning on Monday, June 10th. He adds that the lane restriction will be in place to allow the construction of a new water line along and across the roadway.
Todd notes that motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. The roadway will reopen at night with metal plates allowing traffic to cross the excavated area.
He states that the work zone is expected to be active through about Friday, June 14th.
Motorists are being advised to use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
