Richard “Richie” Lawrence Blackburn, age 76, of Princeton

Funeral services for Richard “Richie” Lawrence Blackburn, age 76, of Princeton, will be held Saturday morning at ten at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Asher cemetery in Caldwell County.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from four until eight at the funeral home.
Richard was a member of Good Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a United States Army veteran. He was also a retired Princeton Police Officer, serving for 19 and a half years, worked for the Princeton Fire Department for 18 years and was a Caldwell EMT for 16 years. He also worked for the Calvert City SKW Plant for 19 years, was an Elder of the Good Springs C.P. Church, a Kentucky Colonel, the Emergency Coordinator of Caldwell County ARRL Ham Radio and served 10 years on the Princeton City Council.
He is survived by his wife: Gail Tosh Blackburn of Princeton; one daughter: Kelly Blackburn Dyer and husband, Chris, of Hixon, TN; one son: David Ryan Blackburn of Owensboro; one step-daughter: Sussann Egbert Lovell of Mayfield; three sisters: Faye Phelps of Fredonia, Cindy Rogers of Fredonia, and Renee Hollamon of Marion; one brother: Steve Blackburn of Eddyville; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
