More Information Released Concerning Two-Vehicle Accident Wednesday

More information has been released concerning a two-vehicle accident in Princeton on Wednesday.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King says that officers responded to the report of a two-vehicle injury collision at the intersection of South Jefferson and Legion Streets beside the Circle K Convenience Store around 11:45. He adds that preliminary investigation indicates that 50-year-old Lori M. Dyer, of Princeton, was traveling northbound on South Jefferson in a 2011 Toyota SUV while James R. Flatt was westbound on East Legion Street in a 1998 Chevrolet truck.

Investigation revealed that as they were both traveling through the intersection Flatt’s vehicle struck Dyer’s vehicle on the passenger side, causing her vehicle to overturn and come to a rest on its top in the southbound lane of South Jefferson Street. Flatt’s vehicle then came to a rest in the eastbound lane of West Legion Street.
Chief King states that Flatt told officers the traffic light was green when he entered the intersection.

Dyer was transported to Caldwell Medical Center ER by Caldwell County EMS for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers were assisted at the scene by the Princeton Fire Department and Princeton Public Works Department.
Chief King notes that the investigation is continuing.
