A community clean up project has been postponed due to potential extremely warm weather this weekend.
In a post on social media Thursday, organizers of the Paint the Park at Buddy Rogers Ballpark in Fredonia announced the decision to cancel the event that was originally scheduled for Saturday. The post indicated that with temperatures expected to top out over 90 degrees with heat index even warmer it was safer for potential volunteers to postpone the event.
The event, which was going to update paint on the dugout, concession stand, and various other places throughout the ballpark, will likely be rescheduled for a to be determined date in the fall when temperatures are milder.
