Traffic Stalled Following Two-Vehicle Accident Involving Dump Truck

Traffic was stalled on a major highway south of Princeton Friday following a two-vehicle accident involving a dump truck.

Officials say that crews responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision involving a dump truck and a small passenger car on Highway 91 South in front of Howton Trucking just after 1:30. Reports indicate that the dump truck hit the rear end of the passenger vehicle causing damage to the fender and shattering the back glass.

Both lanes of traffic were shut down for almost 30 minutes as crews worked to re-create the crash scene.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, whose name has not been released by officials, was treated at the scene but the extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
