Lendmark Raises Over $1,000 to Aid Those Facing Childhood Cancer

Over a $1,000 was raised to help families dealing with childhood cancer at a local financial services corporation Wednesday.
Amber Spurlin, Branch Manager II of Lendmark of Princeton, says they sold around 250 pork tenderloin sandwiches during their “Cookout for a Cure,” raising just at $1,500. She adds that the fundraiser was a way to participate in a nationwide Lendmark campaign.

Spurlin notes that the organization receiving the donations, CURE Childhood Cancer, helps provide things such as hot meals, needed practical items, grants for medical bills, supplies for cancer research, and more for those families dealing with childhood cancer.
She explains that donations will continue to be received for the next few weeks.

Spurlin wishes to thank everyone who made the fundraising event on Wednesday a success, including Jason Redfern, Food Giant, and Rodney and Margaret Heaton.
