Princeton Woman Facing Additional Charges Following Arrest

A Princeton woman is facing additional charges following a warrant arrest Wednesday.
According to Caldwell County Sheriff Stan Hudson a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Princeton and arrested the driver, 42-year-old Kimberly Smothers, on a Caldwell County Circuit warrant.
During the booking process Smothers instructed the deputy that she allegedly had a baggie on her person. After further investigation, Smothers was charged for promoting contraband first degree and possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense – methamphetamine.
She remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
