Former 56th District Judge Passes Away

Funeral services for retired 56th District Judge William McCaslin will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.
Judge McCaslin previously served as 56th District Judge in Caldwell, Trigg, Lyon and Livingston Counties.  He continued serving as a Senior Status Judge of Kentucky until retirement.  Prior to being elected District Judge, McCaslin served as City Attorney in Princeton and later the Caldwell County Attorney.
Judge McCaslin was a veteran of the United States Army, having service with the 25th Infantry Division.  He was stationed at Schofield Barracks Army Base in Hawaii.  He was a graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis College of Law.  He began practicing law in Owensboro and later relocated to Princeton to join in law practice with Gordan Lisanby.
He was a member and officer in the Kiwanis Club, Jaycees and Rotary Club.  Judge McCaslin was also a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Western Baptist Hospital Board of Directors.
He is survived by two daughters, one sister, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
