Memorial services for Coach David Barnes, age 59, of Eddyville, formerly of Princeton, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at the Caldwell County High School Gymnasium.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from four until eight at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Coach Barnes had coached football and was an educator for 36 years, beginning his career at Murray High before moving to Daviess County. In 2006 he moved to Caldwell County where he has been the head coach for 14 years. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a caring friend and mentor.
Coach Barnes is survived by his wife: Rachael Barnes of Eddyville; one son: Will Barnes and wife, Sarah, of Eddyville; his father: William M. Barnes of Fredonia and one brother: Mark R. Barnes and wife, Jackueline, of Mississippi.
Charitable contributions may be made in memory of Coach Barnes to the Vanderbilt Parkinsons Disease Research Fund.
