The Kentucky Lottery is giving five people a chance to become the first millionaire of 2020.
Lottery officials report players are eligible to enter the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve VIP Experience via kylottery.com. In order to enter, players must have a non-winning Powerball ticket valued $4 or more.
Lottery President and CEO Tom Delacenserie says a $4 ticket will get you one entry into the promotion, with a ticket valued $22 or more will receive ten entries.
The five Kentucky Lottery players selected, along with promotional winners from other states will be awarded a trip of a lifetime to be a part of a drawing that will occur just minutes after the ball drops on January 1, 2020, in New York City, New York. One lucky winner participating in the event will be selected to win a million dollars, becoming the first Powerball millionaire of the new year.
The five winners from the Kentucky Lottery will receive a four-day, three-night trip for two to New York City, tickets to the “Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes”, a holiday dinner cruise on the Hudson River, and more. The trip alone is valued at $20,000, according to lottery officials. Entries will be taken through midnight Sunday, September 29, with winners to be announced Tuesday, October 1.
